~Budget Tip=Don't Chase Every Deal!~
Budget tip:
Don't go after every deal!
Shocked?! Don't be. If I went after every deal that I see, I would not ever be on budget. There are just too many deals to stay within my budget. Plus, I crave peace of mind and I don't find any peace in racing around town trying to find all the deals at multiple stores. No thanks.
Instead, only go after the deals on the products that you love when they are on sale & you can combine the sale with a coupon. It really is that easy!
Happy Day~

~Budget Tip=Unplug It!~
Budget tip:
Unplug appliances when not in use! This may sound inconvenient, but it is worth the savings. We don't unplug everything, but we do unplug chargers and such when not in use. We have the cheapest electric bill of anyone that I've met in our neighborhood (those with the same house plan). I know that part of our savings has to do with the fact that we unplug items.
Go do an energy audit and see what you can unplug :)
Blessings~

~Budget Tip-Eat a Sandwich!~
Good Morning Sassy Savers!
This week I'll be posting more simple budget tips. If you have any tips you would like to share, please leave me a comment. Enjoy!
Budget Tip:
Eat one sandwich meal per week. I know, not very exciting...Sorry...Not very exciting at all, but it will save your family money just by doing this once per week. Calculate how much a typical meal costs to make or eat out (I realize some of you don't cook) and put that money aside or apply it towards savings or paying down debt.
*Mix it up by grilling the sandwiches. It makes it feel more like a meal to me :)
Sounds simple, right? These budget tips are meant to be simple & easy solutions so that you will do them and start reaping the rewards of living within a budget.
Happy Monday!

~Budget Tip=Start Small!~
Budget tip for the day:
Start small!
If a budget completely overwhelms you, tackle it one category at a time. For the first month concentrate on 2 categories. Make your main focus staying within or under your allotted budget amount. Once you conquer those 2 categories, add 2 more the next month. Before you know it, you will be working a full budget. You can do it! I promise :)

~Budget Tip=Get a Mentor~
Have a financial Mentor!
Think of someone who has their finances in order. Think of someone who you can ask questions and who will hold you accountable. Ask that person to be your financial mentor for a season to help you reach your goals.
I did this a couple of years ago with one of my financial/spiritual mentors. It was awesome! I would report to her each month how much money I saved. That year I ended up saving several thousand dollars above my goal and I think it had to do with the fact that I was reporting to her each month. It was exciting to exceed my goals each month!
If you can't think of anyone to be your mentor, please email me.
Happy Wednesday!

Howdy Sassy Savers!
Sorry for the lack of postings. I'm having a hard time getting back into the groove of things. We were gone for 9 days and then had a weekend full of events. Life is good :)
Back to June being budget month! Are you excited?! I am typically most excited about my budget AFTER our tropical vacation each summer. Sounds weird, I know. We come back from what I like to call "paradise" and I can't wait to begin saving for the next vacation!
Tip for the day:
DREAM! Set a goal and work toward toward it.
Example: One of our goals for each summer is an anniversary trip. Each month I do my best to stay on budget so that I know we can go. Our rule is we DON'T go any trip unless it is paid for when we book it. It is NOT a vacation if you owe for it once you return home.
Happy Tuesday!
