Not much longer.....till.....

Our Vacation! We have less than 2 weeks,so I will not have much to post as I am trying to only buy milk, bread & fruit. I will pick up some FREE items, of course. No major shopping, hopefully, until we get back. I do have a seminar next week, so I will post some pics from that.

Hope you all are blessed and saving big!

~Target Coupon Policy~

Some of you have emailed me and asked questions about Target's coupon policy. Evidently, some cashiers are not trained on Target's policy. If you have encountered problems, it is not a bad idea to print this email and take it with you. Hope this helps!
Thank you Thrifty Mom!
**********************************************************************************
Thanks for asking us about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.

When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:

- We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
- We’ll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
- We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we’re able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
- We can’t accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you’re checking out.

For questions about using a specific coupon, we encourage you to stop by Guest Service and ask to speak with the Guest Service Team Leader. They’ll do their best to help while you’re in the store. If you still have questions after speaking with them, please call our Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. Either way, we’re here to help!

We appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth

~National Vinegar Month~

From time to time I run across some tips that I like to pass along. Today's information came from Jennifer at Surviving the Stores. I've not tried any of these, but am interested in using it to clean the microwave. Please let me know if you try any of these. I'd like to know what worked for you.
***********************************************************************************

Did you guys know that May is National Vinegar Month?? Well, in honor of National Vinegar Month, I thought I would do a Survival Tip Tuesday post on the ways that we use Vinegar!

Vinegar is a very inexpensive alternative to many everyday household items and Apple Cider Vinegar is an excellent home remedy (in my personal opinion - see disclaimer below!)

Here are some of the ways that we personally use vinegar:

1) As a cleaner. Fill a spray bottle 3/4 full with Distilled Water, add about 1-2 cups of vinegar and then add some Tea Tree Oil (this will be your most expensive item but it last forever!) Use it on your counters, to clean the stove, kitchen table, etc... It works great and you can feel great about your kids using it too! I also use a variation of this to mop my floors. I put hot water in the sink, add some white vinegar, and then several drops of rose oil (you can also add salt if you would like to). My floors look good AND smell good too! :)

2) With the laundry. Adding vinegar to your washing machine load works as a fabric softener, helps prevent static, and makes your clothes brighter! If you have a place where fabric softener goes, you can pour the vinegar in there.

3) To clean the microwave and the coffee maker! To clean the microwave, just stick about half a cup of vinegar in and microwave it for about 30 seconds. The junk inside just wipes clean! About once a month we run a vinegar/water mix through the coffee maker and it gets it clean every time!

4) As dandruff shampoo!

5) For eczema. After doing some research online I decided to start taking apple cider vinegar tablets and it COMPLETELY went away! I was amazed!

There are HUNDREDS of great uses for vinegar.... getting rust off of nails, unclogging shower heads, killing weeds, killing bacteria in meat, and much more!

Thanks Jennifer!

~All for $3.44!~

Today I headed over to Kroger because I remembered that they were having their Tide on sale for $4.99 and today was the last day of the 3 day sale. If you are wondering about the cat food...no we don't have cats, yes we still are allergic and yes I'm still afraid of them (long story). However, I do not pass up FREE stuff. I plan to give it to a family who needs it. That is the underlying beauty of what I do. I get to bless others in a way that I would not be able to if I were not using coupons. Some people see coupons as a chore...I see it as FREE MONEY! :)
